So to start things off I'm 20 years old and been to the dentist one and that was when I had a tooth removed. It got removed because I had a cavity and after hassling my parents for weeks they finally let me go. The dentist offered to put tooth filling but my mom was so fixated on removing it. Years past and I started to realize that my upper jaw is misaligned from my bottom, and when smiling it does not come off natural I been trying to tell me parents about for years but they won't let go to the dentist. Can the issue be reversed? The space where the tooth was is no longer visible and I developed my wisdom teeth just fine.

I had an extraction at a dentist office instead of an oral surgeon - NEVER AGAIN!! Not only was I given nothing for pain or antibiotics, they left a chunk of tooth that caused pain, swelling, and discharge for NINE months. Every time I asked about it, they told me it was nothing.

Yeah I hate when they switch dentist without telling you . and they don't even tell you the dentist name. another reason why people don't like going to the dentist you never feel comfortable they never want to fix but always offering you implants

I once had a cracked tooth due to cavity, needed a week to get scheduled, and the salt mouthwash really helped me get through the week before the appointment.

I have periodontitis but GUM ultra tight looks like the "wrong" demonstration on nearly all of my teeth. I just saw they used to have a micro tight size but not anymore. Any interdental brushes smaller than the ultra tight available?

Im so sad and frustrated about this. I had ok teeth until i got chronically ill and then the cavities started..last year i had bad depression and i havent been taking care of anything or my teeth . now im making sure im brushing them and doing it right but they still keep forming and i dont have that money to always pay so much at the dentist (i have pain condition which affects how my brain proccess pain - it hurts way more than it should) my teeth are so sensitive that even flushing with room temperature water hurts. 😢 Im just so tired of this all.

This didn’t help at all. I grind my teeth at night. And their response is “find out what makes you grind” Girl. I have severe depression and anxiety and I don’t KNOW where it came from. I got a mouth guard from my dentist and that helped a bit. But my teeth are still moving.

I hate the dentist. Instead of asking what is wrong, they just book me in for more and more appointments to “get me used to it” I once had three appointments in three weeks (one every week).

Hey teeth girl I have a gap caused by shifted teeth I have no fronts so my laterals closed in and formed a gap. My questions are. Can fronts be worn on laterals? and my canines be substituted and made into laterals to get that nice aesthetic?

I have this…… in my early 20’s I thought I could get braces… I saw an orthodontist… as soon as I opened my mouth he said “Nope… I can’t help you… you need oral surgery…” I said “what does that entail?” He said “they have to break your jaw… sew it shut for about a month… and THEN you can get braces.” I rannnnn from that appointment. And mind you…. I was freaked out about the dentist at the time as it was. Now I’m not… but I still don’t have any interest in having my jaw broken and sewn shut. I guess I’ll just never bite though a sandwich ever again. 😤🙃

I’m working on a daily routine, but so far I’ve made a pretty good plan for myself after a couple years of talking with my dental hygienist and dealing with my sensitive teeth that suddenly became very prone to cavities no matter how well I brush. My plan that I wanna do is water picking (especially at the back of my gums cuz it’s the current area that has any issues still after some work), then brushing with my prescription grade toothpaste given by the dentist that has extra fluoride (I need to get an electric tooth brush), spitting out the toothpaste without rinsing then I wanna manual floss to push the tooth paste down between my teeth and just floss in general, and usually rn I just brush my tongue as best as I can and spit it out. If I wanna use my act mouthwash, I either do it at the beginning or use it when I slip on my routine and want to at least do something.
